Rangnik – ‘Couldn’t have been better’
Ralph Rangnick also admitted that things “couldn’t have been better” than Marcus Rashford, the eventual winner in the 93rd minute.
He also lauded the support of the fans at Old Trafford, who helped pull the team over the line.
The interim boss said: “It couldn’t have been better, if you scored in the last seconds of the game. It was amazing.
“The atmosphere, the Red Army was pushing the team for 94 minutes.
“A great atmosphere and I can only say congratulations and thank you for the support of the fans, which made it very easy for us and, as I said, a huge, important win and physically, [it was] a great performance.
“We didn’t always find the right solution in possession of the ball, especially in the last third of the game, but the way we played defensively after playing only three days earlier at Brentford, I was really impressed with the team.”
