Europe’s top clubs are gearing up to splurge cash in the most exciting January transfer window ever.

Newcastle could be the biggest spender in the new year following a Saudi-backed £300m takeover in October.

And with the Magpies sitting in the relegation zone after winning only one of their 19 Premier League games, Eddie Howe’s team can bring in a maximum of four players.

Meanwhile, companies like Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid can also enter the market.

The allure of the Premier League could prove crucial once again, although some of their star players in the top-flight could be gone.

Here SunSport has compiled a best XI of the likely signings to take place during this January transfer window.

Dean Henderson – GK

Manchester United shot-stopper Dean Henderson is likely to leave Old Trafford after failing to play a single league game this time around.

The former Sheffield United loanee is claimed to be seeking showdown talks with interim boss Ralph Rangnick over his future.

And Tottenham are said to be keeping a close eye on his position as they look to replace Hugo Lloris, who is in the final year of his contract in north London.

Kieran Trippier – RB

Newcastle have been linked with a move to bring Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier back to England, with the defender available for £15m.

It has also been suggested that Toon is expected to announce his arrival at St. James’ Park next week.

Sven Boutman – CB

He could be accompanied by Lille centre-back Sven Boutman at the club, who is a £40m target for Howe.

The 21-year-old Dutchman helped the French side win a Ligue 1 title last season, and he has continued to impress this stint.

Antonio Rudiger – CB

One player who could leave the Premier League is Chelsea ace Antonio Rudiger, who has just six months left on his deal at Stamford Bridge.

And with the player yet to commit his future to the Blues, the West Londoners may be forced to sell him on a cut-price transfer.

Real Madrid is known to fans of the German, and they are reportedly set to double their salary at the Bernabeu.

Lucas Digne – LB

Everton left-back is likely to be sold by the Toffees after his ouster with boss Rafa Benitez.

Ben Chilwell will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, while Marcos Alonso remains inconsistent with his form.

And Champions League holders are believed to have approached Digne’s camp over a possible £25m move.

Paul Pogba – CM

Another player in the final year of his contract, the Manchester United midfielder is showing no signs that he will be extending his stay at Old Trafford.

A return to Juventus has been considered, although the old lady will first have to take off players to bring her back to Turin.

Aaron Ramsey – CM

The Welsh ace could be one of those who make room for Pogba with Juve looking to get the Arsenal icon off their salary bill.

Injuries have spoiled Ramsey’s time in Italy, and the Serie A giants have grown impatient with him.

Newcastle are believed to be at the fore in the race to secure his services, with his agent working towards a January deal.

Dele Alli – AM

The England international could be out of Tottenham after failing to make his way into Antonio Conte’s plans.

With only one Premier League goal from ten matches this stint, the 25-year-old may have to leave to find his form again.

And West Ham are said to be ready to give him a chance as David Moyes is looking for another attacking midfielder.

Osman Dembele – RW

Another player on Newcastle’s radar, the Barcelona winger has declined a new deal as he nears the end of his contract.

Newcastle have approached the 2018 World Cup winner to join their project, a move claimed to be a possibility.

And in another boost for Magpie, Dembele’s agents are believed to like a trick for their client, as they want to cash in on a hefty commission fee.

Anthony Marshall – LW

Like Pogba, Marshall can exit the Theater of Dreams after telling Rangnik that he wants to leave.

His agent has already made it clear that his client wants to move on after making just seven appearances in the Premier League in this period.

Sevilla are believed to have rejected a loan bid for the French, but there is every possibility that they could come back with a better offer.

Dusan Vlahovic – ST

It is no secret that Arsenal are in dire need of a striker as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was dropped from the team after being fired as captain due to disciplinary issues.

Meanwhile, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Neketah face an uncertain future as they approach the end of their time in North London.

Fiorentina Ace Vlahovic, who has scored 18 goals in 22 games this campaign, is reportedly the Gunners’ top target.

And after the Serbia international refused to sign a new deal in Florence, the Italian outfit is desperate to cash in on him in January.
