OUSMANE DEMBELE, expected to leave Barcelona in the January transfer window, has been dropped from the squad.
The Frenchman’s contract expires at the end of the season and has recently been in talks to sign an extension.

But cash-strapped Barca have been unable to meet Dembele’s demands, leaving the club and player in a sharp standoff.
And now Barcelona director Matu Alemanni has announced that the forward will not sign a new deal and could be sold this month.
Alemani said: “It is clear that Dembele does not want to continue with Barcelona. He does not want to be a part of our project.
“We told Dembele that he would have to leave immediately. We expect Osman to be sold before January 31.”
With less than six months left on his contract, the winger is already allowed to negotiate a free transfer from the club next season.
As a result, Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle have all been linked with Dembele.
But his manager – Barca legend Xavi – insists that either a new contract has been signed or the player will be sold before the winter window closes.
He added: “The message is clear. Ousmane Dembele has to sign a new contract or we find a way to sell him in January. No other way.”
“It is not believed that he remains in the stands. I have been very clear with Osman.”
