The season is scheduled to begin on September 8, 2022, with the defending Super Bowl LVI champion Los Angeles Rams hosting the NFL Kickoff Game, and end on January 8, 2023.
NFL 2022-2023 Schedule Release Date
The 2022 NFL season is set to begin on Thursday, September 8. If the NFL follows tradition, the first game of the season will be hosted by the winners of the previous Super Bowl—in this case, the Los Angeles Rams’ Sophie Stadium.
The NFL will announce the full 2022 NFL regular-season schedule on Thursday, May 12 at 8 p.m. on the NFL Network, NFL.com and the NFL App. ET.
For many years, the league announced its full slate in mid-April — just before the NFL Draft. Roger Goodell & Company recently pushed that date until after the draft, however, our educated guess is that the full schedule will be released in mid-May. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported on 18 April that “the league plans to release the schedule during the second week of May, with an end date of Tuesday, 10 May to Thursday, 12 May.”
The NFL schedule for 2021-2022 is projected to release on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 8 p.m. EST on the NFL Network with the schedule release show. Typically, ESPN.com, CBSSports.com and USAToday.com have the first Internet publication of the schedule. The first downloadable, printable PDF schedule is usually published by ESPN or NFL.com. 2021-2022 NFL Ticket Sale is available first on Vividseats.com. The pre-season schedule is generally released 10 days to two weeks ahead of the regular season schedule. Release dates vary based on scheduling, matchups, and the start of the NFL free agency period.

NFL 2022-2023 Super Bowl Lvii
February 12, 2023 – Just 364 days after Super Bowl LVI. That’s right, you don’t even have a full year to clean out all the guacamole from the chandelier of that killer viewing party you just hosted.
State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. This could be great news for fans of the Arizona Cardinals, as the team whose home stadium has hosted the previous two Super Bowls took part in the game.
Um, look back at about 350 days. But since the game is at State Farm Stadium, here’s a fun guess—a Super Bowl between two pitchmen from the insurance company, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers (for now).
Super Bowl LVII will be held on February 12, 2023 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The 63,400-seat State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, will host its third Super Bowl since 2015.
