For the second year in a row, the NFL postseason will feature 14 teams — seven in each conference. 1 seed in both the AFC and NFC receive first-round byes and home turf advantage during the playoffs.
No. 2–4 teams will have a home ground advantage in the first round, with No. 2 hosting No. 7, No. 3 hosting No. 6, and No. 4 hosting No. 5.
As the postseason progresses, the higher-ranked teams will have a home-field advantage. Saying goodbye is huge, although sowing the seeds is also important.

The NFL postseason bracket includes six teams from each NFL conference. The winners of the AFC and NFC divisions automatically qualify for the playoffs. The four clubs are ranked 1–4 based on their overall win-loss record.
Wild cards are awarded to the fifth and sixth seeders. The next two clubs with the best records in each conference advance to the playoffs. The more powerful side is ranked fifth, while the weaker side is ranked sixth.
The top four seeds and wild cards are split mechanically. The tiebreaker begins with a one-on-one match. There are division records, records versus common opponents and many other things.
The top two teams from each conference advance to the wild card round. Seed number 1 is the lowest remaining wild card seed. The two seeds face off against the winner of the second wild card round.
The top-seeded playoffs in the conference also offer home field advantage. The divisional round is the second round of the playoffs, with the winners advancing to the championship round. The AFC and NFC Championship games are hosted by the highest seeded team.
