That means March Madness is coming to a close, and NCAA.com correspondent Andy Katz has updated his projections for the 2022 men’s basketball tournament. The season is progressing, but here’s how Katz projects the 68-team field to look like as of December 20.

As the college basketball conference enters the game, bracketologists are honing in on their predictions about who will be invited to the 2022 NCAA men’s and women’s tournaments. And if the midseason forecasts hold true, the Pac-12 should expect another strong showing on college basketball’s biggest stage.

March Madness Bracket 2022
On the women’s side, ESPN’s Charlie Creme expects seven Pac-12 teams to qualify for the NCAA tournament. That would be more than last season when six teams made the field. Creme has last year’s championship game participants, No. 2 Stanford and No. 4 Arizona, penciled in as 1-seeds this year.
