Lauren made an immediate impact for the Lady Scots, as she contributed to the team’s backcourt as well as securing a spot on the GSAC All-Freshmen Team during her first campaign. This past season he provided outstanding chivalry and leadership in the position of point guard and was also selected for the All-Conference team. With her jump shot and experience, Lauren will be another perimeter threat to Lady Scots. The daughter of Raymond and Amy Burnett, Lauren is an accounting and finance major.

Coach Burnett is a Class of 2018 graduate from Syracuse High School. She was a 6A Academic All State winner in her senior year. Coach B was a two-time Deseret News All Stater as a midfielder, and helped lead the Titans to back to back region titles.
As a junior he helped anchor the midfield to the State Finals and the Final Four his senior year. He finished his career with 10 goals and 14 assists. In his senior year he was voted by his peers as the recipient of the Titan Award (Heart, Leadership, Skills and Academics).
Lauren is attending Weber State and working towards her teaching degree in math and physical education.

Our hearts are saddened to hear of the loss of one of our student-athletes. Lauren Burnett was a high-achiever member of our softball team and a great ambassador for JMU and our athletics program. She was a key member of our 2021 Women’s College World Series team last year as a freshman catcher.
