Bobby Portis of the Milwaukee Bucks skips Wednesday night’s game against the Chicago Bulls after taking a shot directly to his eye.
Portis, late in the first quarter of the Bucks’ 114–110 loss in Game 2 of their opening-round playoff series against the Bulls, went for a rebound with Chicago’s Tristan Thompson under the rim.
As they were in the air, Thompson’s left arm came swinging down and pierced Portis directly into her right eye, bleeding from her cheek.
There was no foul in the play in which Tristan Thompson elbowed Bobby Portis in the face.
No foul play was stated in the play. After this, Portis angrily left the court and went straight to the locker room.
He was back on the bench in the second quarter, but then the Bucks officially kicked him out after halftime for what they called a right eye abrasion.
Portis finished his night in six minutes with two points and two rebounds.
