England qualified for the World Cup after beating San Marino 10–0 at the top of Group I.
As the winners of each group advance to the Qatar World Cup, fans can consider booking their tickets before going into the play-offs with the second-placed teams.
And that means Italy and Portugal are not sure of their place in the Gulf next November after failing to win their groups.
But Lionel Messi will be there when Argentina’s 0–0 draw with Brazil proved to be enough to make it to the World Cup as Chile were beaten by Ecuador.

How do play-offs work?
Joined by the 10 second-place finishers in the play-offs are the two highest-ranked teams in the Nations League that have not already qualified or finished in runners-up places (currently Wales and Austria).
And the play-offs for this World Cup are tougher than ever.
Instead of the traditional two-legged format, the 2022 World Cup campaign features 12 teams in three four-team paths, with two one-legged semi-finals and a final in each path.
The unprecedented Qatar World Cup takes place from November 21 to December 18, 2022.
