Tottenham scored a dramatic late win at Vicarage Road as Davinson Sanchez’s stoppage time header gave the visitors all three points against Watford.

And if referee Robert Jones had pointed to the opportunity for a challenge on Joo Pedro by Hugo Lloris, he himself could have taken the lead in the closing stages.

But, after a pause in play due to a medical emergency in the crowd, eight minutes of extra time was confirmed and Spurs took full advantage.

In the 96th minute, a whipped delivery from Son Heung-min was hit home by Sanchez to give Antonio Conte’s team a priceless victory.

The result leaves Spurs two points behind Arsenal in fourth place – but with two games in hand.

Meanwhile, Watford remain in 17th place, just two points above Burnley, who have played two games less.
