TONI KROOS was upset after being booked into a clash with Elche at Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey on Thursday night.
Croce was held up in the 78th minute for Los Blancos’ 2–1 win at Estadio Martínez Valero, which referee Jorge Vázquez thought was a foul on Tete Morante.
But in replays the retired German international showed No Substitute or touch the ball.
Morante went into the field without an assist as he foiled his attempt at the Zinedine Zidane turn, although Vasquez thought Cross was responsible for the winger’s downfall and proceeded to show him a yellow card.
An enraged Kroos immediately pledged his innocence, pointing to the referee that he had made no contact with the Spaniard.
And he reflected on the bizarre booking on social media by sharing a clip of Morante’s stumbling block that featured circus music.
The accompanying caption read: “Yellow card. Absolutely.”
Footy fans were quick to comment, with one tweeting an edited photo of the incident: “Should have been a yellow card for Spiderman instead.”
Another said: “I can’t believe it.
“How did the referee fall for that!! I think the referee guessed a foul.”
And another said: “Unbelievable. It’s not a foul and a yellow card.”
One commented: “You need to stop using those supernatural powers.”
Kroos was substituted before going into last-16 extra time.

Ten-man Madrid looked in danger of being knocked out of the tournament in the 103rd minute when Gonzalo Verdu gave the home team the lead.
But former outcast Isco held on to the thirteen-time European Cup winner level five minutes later.
And former Chelsea player Eden Hazard spared Real’s blush by netting the winner five minutes before the end of extra time.
After the match, manager Carlo Ancelotti praised the mental strength of his soldiers, saying: “We didn’t put up an amazing performance.
“We were very much into the game and controlling things.

“When the extra time was over, I told my players to show a calm mind and remain calm because we had 30 more minutes to go.
“Then we conceded a goal we didn’t deserve, but that brings out all the character and personality of this squad.”
Real will be back in action on Sunday afternoon, resuming their rivalry with Elche at the Bernabeu.
