Piers Morgan ‘bangs his head against a wall’ and slams Bernardo Silva for ‘diving like Tom Daly’ as Manchester City secure last-gance win at 10-man Arsenal.

The TV celebrity described the Gunners’ 2-1 loss as a “shocking injustice” as City were 11 points ahead at the top.

Bukayo Saka fired Arsenal from the front, but Riyad Mahrez hit a controversial penalty equalizer, then Gabriel Magalhes saw the red for two soft bookings and Rodri bundled City’s 93rd-minute winner.

Gunners fan Morgan posted: “Now that I’ve stopped banging my head against the wall at the shocking injustice of that ‘loss’, I’m so proud of that Arsenal performance.

“We went side by side with the best team in the world and should have won it.

“I’m starting to believe in (Mikael) Arteta’s process.”

But Morgan lashed out at VAR for failing to hand Arsenal a ‘clear penalty’ after Martin Odegaard was sent off faltering from City keeper Ederson’s challenge.

Ederson appeared to toe the ball and the video assistant endorsed the decision without a penalty for on-field referee Stuart Atwell.

Morgan, former host of Good Morning Britain and Britain’s Got Talent judge, said: “So we are denied an explicit penalty and City get one when Silva was already diving like Tom Daly? Ridiculous” – Plus three angry emojis.”

But Morgan’s reaction to the burst was as hot as his own words.

Many fans scoffed at his ‘injustice’ claims, with some saying Arsenal’s wounds were self inflicted, particularly with Gabriel with his two quick yellow cards.

One posted: “Ederson gets the ball: no penalty. Zaka pulls off shirt: penalty. Gabriel foolish booking: red card. Stopping your own mistake.”

But others insisted that the Gunners deserved more for their strong starts and/or were robbed of really bad decisions.

Such responses included: “I’m not a fan of Arsenal, but this was some of the worst caretakers I’ve seen in a long time.”
