Thomas Frank has seen his squad be depleted of injuries and Covid-19 cases in recent weeks, winning just three of their last 12 matches in all competitions.

This bee has been seen associated with the mudrik, acting primarily as a left wing, but can also play in the opposite direction or attacking midfield.

And Mudrik himself has admitted that Brentford has made offers for his services, but the final decision rests with Shakhtar’s chairman, Rinat Akhmetov.

Mudri told Ukrainian outlet Sport Arena: “I want to thank Brentford for the offers.

“It’s great to finish in the Premier League at the age of 20, but the final decision lies with the club’s president.

“Had the offer come a year or 18 months ago, I wouldn’t have reconsidered it – I would have asked the club to let me go without hesitation.

“To finish in the Premier League, 20 is wonderful. But ever since Srina and D Zarbi (Shakhtar coach) took over, everything has changed. I have the support.

“I currently have a long contract and all my thoughts are tied to Shekhar. I will use all my strength to help him win in all the competitions we are participating in.”

Italian boss Roberto di Zerbi took over earlier this year and Mudri has enjoyed a stellar campaign under the new manager.

He made seven assists in just 11 league games this season and scored twice, helping Shekhar reach the top of the Ukrainian Premier League.

Mudri began his home Champions League clash against Real Madrid in November, and also came on as a substitute in five other group games.

SunSport also reported exclusively in recent days that Brentford was willing to make an offer of up to £14 million for Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson.

Frank is desperate to strengthen his squad to avoid being dragged into an exile scrap.

Forest however is up to a higher offer in his own efforts to get Prem promoted, and values the 20-year-old as his prized possession.
