MIKEL ARTETA will miss Arsenal’s crucial home game against Manchester City on Saturday after testing positive for Covid.
The 39-year-old Spaniard has gone into isolation after Tuesday’s test and will be absent from the club for the next seven days.

Arteta was the first person in British football to contract the coronavirus after the sport was completely shut down due to his positive test in March 2020.
Yet it is believed that he has had both the vaccination and the booster, yet he has gone down with the virus a second time.
Assistants Steve Round and Albert Stuivenberg will now take charge for a meeting with league leaders City at lunchtime on Saturday.
A statement from the club said: “Mikeel Arteta will miss our match against Manchester City on New Year’s Day after testing positive for COVID-19.
“Mikael is in isolation in accordance with government guidelines and we wish him well.”
