Man Utd blow with Wan-Bissaka out until after international break as fans praise Dalot after Man of Match performance

The Manchester United international will be without Aaron Wan-Bissaka until after the break.

Diogo Dalot is playing instead of the English right-back and fans praised the Portuguese after his most recent performance in United’s 3-1 win at Brentford.

Wan-Bissaka missed United’s 2-2 draw at Aston Villa due to illness and was not good enough to travel to Brentford on Wednesday.

According to Ralph Rangnik, he will now miss West Ham’s tour of Old Trafford on Saturday.

Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s game, the German was asked if he was fit.

He replied: “No, not now. He’s still sick, I’m afraid.

“He won’t be available for the game and probably won’t be available for the West Ham game either.

“Hopefully, after the international break, he will be back to training.”

United’s first game after the international break is Middlesbrough at home on 4 February.

But even if Wan-Bissaka isn’t back by then, United fans shouldn’t be too upset to slot Dalot into the well in his absence.

SunSport gave Dalot 7/10 for his performance and said the full-back did nothing wrong and worked hard to provide width.

And Red Devils fans online were also loving him with a tweet: “Over the past two months, Dalot has proved he’s better than Wan-Bissaka.”

Another said: “He’s improving every week. Best right-back in the club now.”

And Ani added: “We always said that Dalot would do well if he was given a run and he is doing so now, cementing his position as a starter.”
