The only problem, however, was that Tierney saw a foul in the build-up to the goal.
As Kane controlled Sessagan’s ball, the striker placed a hand on Thiago Silva’s back before slotting coolly into the back of the net.
Silva was spread out on the floor, so that hand was considered a push.
Gary Neville, however, was left in disbelief over the decision, saying the punditry was on duty. sky game: “It’s not a foul. No chance.
“I mean look there’s a hand from Harry Kane, but it’s not wrong for me.”
And fans on social media agreed, as one angrily said: “If it’s a foul then it’s game over.”
While another said: “Harry Kane has been robbed of a target.”

This came after Liverpool were awarded a controversial penalty during their game against Crystal Palace, and fans on social media mourned both decisions.

The Kane brawl came after another controversial moment at Stamford Bridge, as Matt Doherty escaped a red card for a poor-looking challenge at Malang Sir.
Arsenal fans were also upset during the 0–0 draw against Burnley when Ashley Westwood stampeded on Kieran Tierney for not being penalized with a red card.
However, Roy Keane believed that Kane had been given the right penalty for the challenge on Silva, who disagreed with his old Manchester United teammate.
He said: “Believe it or not, Gary’s [Neville’s] Wrong.
“Do you know what I feel when you’re running at that pace, when I was looking I thought it was a goal.
“But he just leans in for that, and I think the referee got it 100 percent right.”
However, fellow pundit Jamie Redknapp conceded that Silva simply went down and bought referee Tierney’s decision.
Redknapp suggested: “He makes the most of it. Thiago Silva, he goes on, he’s dramatic, he’s clever. It’s a little lucky.”
