Everton “read the riot act” for rounding up Jordan Pickford over his wife’s explicit anti-vax messages on social media.
The England keeper is among the football stars who have been blasted after loved ones shared conspiracy material around critical jabs.

The owners of fed-up Everton have ordered their players to ensure their relatives “toe toe” their relatives on the Covid.
Last month, Jordan’s wife of 25, Megan Davison, shared a photo from a freedom rally in London where police faced violence.
It featured a protester with a placard: “Even if you don’t mind the conspiracy, your soul has something to say. . . there’s something wrong.”
This week Megan, who has a degree in children’s education, posted a second message showing a voodoo doll with dozens of pins, with the words “just another booster for freedom.”
After dressing up at the club, 27-year-old Jordan approached Megan and her message was deleted.
She has told Wags she is upset that the NHS has threatened to sack a family member if she doesn’t.
A source revealed: “Many players were read riot act regarding their conduct and the behavior of their families.
“Officials explained that they were trying to vaccinate as many fans as possible to maintain attendance.”
The source added that writing anything negative about the jabs would be an underestimate by the players or their allies.
The stars were told that further violations would be dealt with strictly.
But a source declared: “Good luck telling my partner what to do.”
The latest figures show that 16 per cent of Premier League stars have not done jabs.
Everton did not comment.
