Cristiano Ronaldo was slammed for his attitude towards three young Manchester United stars.
And Jamie Carragher believes Ralph Rangnik’s strategy isn’t getting the most out of the frustrated Portuguese.
Ronaldo, 36, watched as he continued to moan at his teammates during United’s 1-1 draw at Newcastle on Monday.
Gabby Agbonlahor targeted the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and called on him to lead Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, like Edinson Cavani.
Former Aston Villa striker told talkSPORT: “If you are Greenwood, Rashford, Sancho and you make a bad pass or a bad cross, you are looking at Ronaldo.
“He’s throwing his arms up. Why can’t he be a little more, ‘Oh, unlucky, keep going next time,’ like Cavani when he came over.
“Cavani was clapping Rashford and saying ‘Come on.’
“I understand that he is one of the best players to play the game, but if I am a young player, I need senior players that when I am not playing well my confidence is low.

“It’s all about Ronaldo, running off the pitch after the game because he hasn’t got his goal. I think he needs to do more to be a player of the team.”
Agbonlahor added to Football Insider: “‘I feel like Ronaldo only cares about his goals.
“That performance from Ronaldo was someone affecting the whole game. His attitude was off.
“If I’m Rashford, Greenwood, and Sancho, I’m scared to shoot. Every time he has a shot he raises his arms to say, ‘Why didn’t you go to me?’
“The coordination in that changing room is not good. Rashford and Greenwood’s form has fallen since Ronaldo’s arrival.
“They can’t express themselves, it’s like they think, ‘I have to go to Ronaldo, I have to make a chance for Ronaldo.’
“Before Ronaldo came, Greenwood was taking players and making shots and he’s no longer doing that and being dragged at half-time.
“If I were Rashford, Greenwood or Sancho, I would say to myself, ‘Oh, why did we have to bring him here?'”
Ronaldo has scored 13 goals in 19 appearances since returning to Old Trafford – including seven in the Premier League.
Rashford, Sancho and Greenwood have scored a total of seven goals in the league this time around.
But Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has blamed new interim boss Rangnik and the way he is asking the team to play.
Liverpool legend told monday night football: “What worries me as a Manchester United fan is the lack of opportunities they are creating in sports.
“It’s an empty Newcastle team that has won 11 of the last three games.
“You think about the role of Cristiano Ronaldo this season, the number of times he has saved Manchester United from big goals.
“He got a penalty at Norwich but didn’t really have much chances.
“If you’re not making a lot for him…he’s a killer, lethal in the box, but if you’re not making a lot he’s not in the game.”
