Arsenal have reportedly started talks with Lyon to bring Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes to the Emirates.
The Gunners were eager to sign the 24-year-old in the 2020 winter transfer window along with Mikel Arteta and the technical director, who were huge fans of him.
But the player opted to join Ligue 1 organization Lyon instead of a deal worth up to £25million.
Bruno was touted as a potential summer signing for the North Londoners, although the transfer never materialised.
Meanwhile, Arsenal star Omar Rekik will be leaving for the African Nations Cup.
The emerging center has been selected by Tunisia for the upcoming tournament starting in January.
Rekic made his debut in June in a friendly against Mali – playing 45 minutes.

He declared: “I think that with the right support and bringing in the right players.

“But in the next two or three years, if they can get into the top four, get some big contracts, give them time to settle down and see how the manager wants them to play.
