According to reports, to replace Ben Chilwell, Chelsea may call back Emerson Palmery or Ian Matson from loan.
Chilwell has been ruled out for the rest of the season as he will require knee surgery after damaging his ACL during last month’s 4-0 win over Juventus in the Champions League.

The Blues had originally planned to fix the left-back with a “conservative rehab approach,” but that didn’t work and he would thus go under the knife, which in turn would sideline him by the summer.
Chelsea issued the following statement: “Following a knee injury in a match against Juventus, the Chelsea Medical Department, in collaboration with their knee specialist, decided to attempt a conservative rehab approach.
“Unfortunately Ben was unable to make progress and therefore the collective decision has been made this week to proceed with surgical repair.”
According to Gol, west Londoners can choose to recall either Emerson or Matsen from Lyon and Coventry respectively.
However, this will depend on their existing arrangements with the respective clubs.
Emerson has been established as a key player for Lyon and the same goes for 19-year-old Matson, who has made 20 appearances in the championship.

Chelsea could also move on to Everton ace Lucas Digne, who appears to have fallen out with manager Rafa Benitez.
Digne is being offered by the Toffees ahead of the January transfer window.
The defending European champions could try to seal a six-month loan deal but the Toffees may have to think twice about consolidating their Premier League rival.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has the only left-back solution left with Marcos Alonso, with Callum Hudson-Odoi, Saul Niguez and Christian Pulisic already filling in.
Malang Sarr also comes up as an option and thus Tuchel may not be keen to let him go amid interest from AC Milan.
