According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca officials will meet with defenders’ representatives as they look to raise the tempo ahead of next month’s transfer market.
Blaugrana representatives are also set to hold talks with super agent Mino Raiola over a possible deal involving Ajax ace Nausser Mazrouei and Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.
Chelsea captain Azpilicueta will decide his future next month and it appears he has been offered a new deal by the West Londoners which he is seriously considering.
Negotiations on a new contract for Christensen are understood to have stalled.
This leaves both players free to speak to clubs overseas at the start of New Year’s Day.
Azpilicueta and Christensen Nou are keen to move to the camp, but it is claimed that no official offer has been made.

.Juventus star Matthijs de Ligt is said to be Barcelona manager Xavi’s preferred choice, but it is far more expensive at the time.
Azpilicueta, 32, is facing West Londoners’ longstanding policy of only offering one-year extensions over 30.
Christensen, however, could still sign a new deal with teammate Thiago Silva, whose contract also expires in the summer.
However, Chelsea are also at risk of losing star defender Antonio Rudiger, who is also likely to become a free agent in June.
And there are growing concerns that Rudiger will not be renewed, something Real Madrid are still keeping an eye on.
