AFTV regular DT issued growling statement
Arsenal fan TV regular DT – real name Liam Goodenough – has released a statement after serving three years in prison for stalking, kidnapping and assaulting an ex-girlfriend.
Goodenough was originally sentenced to 12 months in prison at a court hearing on November 12.
But it was sent to the Court of Appeal under the unfairly liberal sentence scheme, and they have extended it to three years.
His statement, posted on social media, read: “I know many of you may have seen the news about me this week and I know I let you down but there are always two sides to a story and mine Will be told a good time.
“After months of getting help and guidance I now know that I was suffering from a mental breakdown and that night I just broke down.
“This I am not condemning my actions, I am trying to paint a picture of what was happening in my life at that time. I ask everyone that you read the body of the report, not Sensational title.
“I can’t apologize so much to my ex-partner that he caused her all this. The eight-year relationship will now be remembered for nine minutes of madness and I’ll always be sorry for that.
“I have also heard of a statement issued by someone I have called a friend, again I will address this and its contents as well in due course!
“I’m sorry to let you all down, I don’t deserve anything from anyone, but just know that I’m sorry.
“Take care and see you in a few years. DT.”
