Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Coutinho January loan, Patino nets on debut, Aubameyang to Barcelona or Juventus

Arsenal are “working” on a loan deal for Philippe Coutinho this January, according to reports.

The Spanish press claims Barcelona are desperate to get Brazil off their books and believe a loan to England will boost its value before the summer.

And it puts the Gunners in a strong position, with technical director Edu known to be close to Coutinho’s agent Kia Jurabacchian.

According to reports, the Gunners have already set their sights on a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gunners are said to be battling Barcelona for Man Utd’s Mason Greenwood, who is said to have been unhappy at Old Trafford.

Aubameyang was stripped of his Arsenal captaincy earlier this week and has now been dropped indefinitely.

SunSport can also reveal that Mikel Arteta has ordered him to train alone, perhaps for two months.

Juventus are reported to be in the chase for the Gabon striker.

Meanwhile it is claimed that Arsenal have made inquiries for Betis and Argentine midfielder Guido Rodriguez.

And Arsenal are celebrating the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup after an emphatic 5-1 win over Sunderland.
