Tommy Fury could fight Jake Paul in EARLY 2022, claims Frank Warren

Tommy Fury may finally share the ring with Jake Paul in ‘Early’ next year.

The Love Islander was due to face the boxer turned YouTuber in a grudge match last weekend, but was forced to withdraw from the bout due to injury and illness.

Fury, 22, is still set to settle scores with the social media star and promoter Frank Warren hoping to re-book the fight as soon as possible.

He told Sky Sports: “We will consider rescheduling in early 2022.”

“Jake said Tommy Fury was ‘lucky’ he wasn’t there, but in fact Tommy was extremely unlucky to miss out on his injury.

“A fit Tommy Fury is a very different proposition for Tyrone Woodley.”

Problem child Paul scored a sixth-round KO win over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley last weekend.

And the former Disney star believes he may have done much worse to fellow novice Fury, the younger brother of WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson.

He said: “I’m ready to fight anyone. It doesn’t matter if they’re a professional boxer or a five-time UFC champion. I don’t care.

“I’m really up for it. And no matter what, I’m about to get the job done.

“And that’s what I showed tonight.

“And Tommy Fury is lucky he wasn’t there tonight. Because Tyrone’s road is tough, he has that experience.”

Paul is unsure about giving Fury a second of happiness, admitting: “I really don’t know what’s next on the roadmap. I’ve done it all, I’ve accomplished what I want to accomplish.

“I need to take a break, I’ve been going on this non-stop for a year and a half and that’s a lot.

“I’m tired, I need to spend time with my family on Christmas and go on vacation, I haven’t been on vacation since I was 18.

“I told myself ‘until you feel like you’ve found a place in life where you deserve a vacation’ and I deserve it now.

“I’m going on my first real vacation where there’s no obligation, because I’ve been on vacations where I have to film it, vlog it, do interviews and wake up at a certain time to get to work.

“I’m going on a real vacation and doing backflips in the water—I’ll be back whenever I feel like it.”
