But Fury was forced to walk out with a broken rib and a bacterial chest infection.

He’s still hoping to settle the score in the ring, but won’t hold his breath, believing that his career is headed for bigger and better things.

Fury said: On MMA Hour: “Make no mistake, this is the fight I want next, and I will always check in with my team every day to see where we are with this.

“But there comes a time where I have my own career. My goal still hasn’t changed. My goal is to be a champion in this sport.

“And believe it or not, fighting Jake Paul, it doesn’t cost me at all. Fighting Jake Paul will never make me a champion in boxing.

“So Jake Paul, yeah, it’s a big fight. It’s a big fight. But it doesn’t really make me achieve my dreams.”

“So at the end of the day, I’ll wait for a certain amount of time, I’ll do my best to get this fight back on track.

“You talk to everyone, that’s the fight I want. But at the end of the day, my career is going on.”

Following Fury’s return, Tyrone Woodley filled in as a replacement, four months after losing on points to Paul.

But Woodley, 39, a former UFC champion, was brutally knocked out in round six of their rematch.

This YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’ joins ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37, above KO’s former KO.

Make no mistake, this is the fight I want next, and I will always check in with my team every single day to see where we are with him.

With Fury’s cancellation, it means Paul still has to fight an opponent with prior professional boxing experience.

He added: “The fact of the matter is, there is unfinished business here and this fight must happen, because how can he be serious about fighting if he has never fought a boxer before?

“How can he be serious about this? He keeps mentioning the UFC.

“If he wants to fight in the UFC, don’t put on a pair of boxing gloves again and go fight in the UFC.

“Don’t call yourself a boxer if you’ve never fought one.”
