Later, he called on several UFC stars, including Masvidal and Chavez Jr.

But Atlas is urging Paul to take on Masvidal, who he says is a “very good striker”.

Atlas told The Shamo: “I want to see him – it’s probably not going to happen – but if he fights Masvidal, Masvidal is a very good striker.

“It would be interesting. It would get my attention. Obviously, Diaz.

“The man he beat, Woodley, was a real fighter. But he was about to retire. He was 41, 42 years old, and never a tremendous striker; better on the mat; not a real busy man. So, he chose Location is quite good.

“But it would be a little more interesting if he fought a Masvidal because Masvidal, he’s a better striker, and he’s more versatile. He could have used his legs. He could have picked the spot. He could set up the right arm.” could see.

“Obviously, he called Masvidal, and he called Diaz. He’s big. He’s big. He has those advantages. He’s smart. A lot of people hate him, but one thing I give him credit for: He didn’t disrespect the sport of boxing. He went, and he learned it.”

Despite once being friends and training together, Paul and Masvidal share bad blood.

Appearing on his brother Logan’s podcast Impulsive, Paul makes Gamebread an offer to fight.

Paul said: “Masvidal is like, ‘I fight only the best people or I fight for money, and you’re not one of them’.

“Masvidal, I have an offer for you right now: a $5m guarantee, plus a percentage of the pay-per-view.

“It’s the most you’ll ever make in a fight. So now you can’t say, ‘I either fight with the best, or I fight for money.’

“Let’s do it.”

But Masvidal immediately turned down the offer. “UFC won’t let me go for a big change,” he wrote on social media.

“Make that 20 Guaranteed Plus PPV and I’m sure the UFC will be fine with it as long as I break down their fees and then I’ll happily smash your face.

“If the UFC still says no because the money is still too low then come to the UFC, sign a one-fight deal and we can determine that I can only box in the cage.

“If I do anything other than that I’ll confiscate my purse for you. Come and pay and be out.”
