'Sky is the limit' - Jake Paul's trainer says YouTuber is 'without question' the 'biggest up and coming star in boxing'

Jake Paul has been called “without question” by his trainer as the “biggest up-and-coming star” in boxing.

Former cruiserweight contender and now retired boxer BJ Flores has guided the YouTube star to five wins with four knockouts.

And in a recent rematch with ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, Flores insisted the ‘sky is the limit’ for an unbeaten Paul.

He added: “Jake is a superstar. He has exciting one punch power, speed and an incredible work ethic.

“He has that X factor. He can’t miss the entertainment. Remember, he’s only 5-0. Jake is without question the biggest up-and-coming star in boxing.

“They have huge potential. The sky’s the limit. We have an excellent team. There’s a lot more to come in 2022.”

Paul, four months after initially winning over 39-year-old Woodley on points, outplayed every opponent he faced in December.

It added KO’s over YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.

Paul’s three-fight run and brutal KO earned him the Knockout of the Year and Breakout Boxer awards in 2021.

But the American social media sensation has yet to fight an opponent with prior professional boxing experience.

He was to come as 22-year-old Tommy Fury, the brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson, 33.

But he pulled out with a broken rib and a bacterial chest infection, so less than a fortnight later, Woodley filled in as a replacement.

Fury insists his team is in talks to reschedule the bout, meanwhile Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., 35, has also received an offer from Paul.

Chavez Jr. is a former WBC middleweight champion, and the son of Mexican great Julio Cesar Sr.
