Oleksandr USYK’s coach has hinted that the Ukrainian may be about to strike a deal to fight Tyson Fury in an undeniable blockbuster.
Much of the discussion revolves around Usyk, who is due to have a rematch against Anthony Joshua after a heavy points loss to Britain in September.
It saw the former cruiserweight king collect WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight belts.
Meanwhile, Fury promoter Frank Warren says the WBC champion will return on March 26.
Dillian White’s ongoing legal tussle with the WBC means the obligatory challenger may not be in a position to take his chance.
And according to Sergei Lapin, assistant coach of Alexander Usik, the undeniable conflict may be very high on the agenda.
He told MyBettingSites: “Why not consider an alternative like Fry-Usyk? This historical event will be interesting to boxing fans.
“If you remember a year ago, fans were waiting for the fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua for the undisputed world champion in the heavyweight division – but literally in an instant, everything changed.

“At this stage, I think everything is possible, everything is constantly changing.
“The fight for the undisputed champion in the heavyweight division is a very cool event that hasn’t been held for more than 20 years.
“To date, there is no exact information about this fight, but recently I noticed that there is a lot of talk about it. Maybe we will find out something interesting very soon.
“Maybe it’s the UK and maybe it’s Saudi Arabia.
“He is up for any challenge, especially if he has the opportunity to combine all the belts in heavyweight, his boxing ability over other heavyweight boxers, and that is very valuable!”
With all the belts on the line, and both boxers are true masters of their craft, a Fury vs Usyk scrap will make boxing fans buzz.

But Lapin is warning it could turn into a ‘chess game’ if they ever meet.
He continued: “If this fight happened between my fighter Usyk and Tyson Fury, it would be a clash between two guys with a really high boxing IQ.
“It seems to me that the fight will be like a game of chess, and victory will be in the hands of the one who will perform his task as productively as possible.”
But he is confident that his man will create history by becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion.
He continued: “Boxing is an art, and representatives of different styles arrange cool fights!
“Fury’s style can be very dirty, if Alex Usik competes with Fury’s dirty style, he will win!”
