YouTube star Money Kicks hopes his fight with Floyd Mayweather is confirmed ‘very soon’ and teased an announcement in ‘a few days’.
The Middle East-based vlogger is in the final stages of talks to face boxing legend Mayweather on February 20.
His teams are now ignoring contracts for the exhibition to be held on top of the helipad at the 700-foot Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai.
That means confirmation of Mayweather’s latest money-spinning spectacle return is drawing to a close.
Money Kicks – real name Rashid Belhasa – told SunSport: “It’s in the final stages. It’s up to the lawyers.
“We’ll make a deal, I think it’s going to happen. The date is set, it’s in the final stages.
“Maybe there will be a big announcement in a couple of days.”
Mayweather, 44, officially took off the gloves in 2017 after defeating 33-year-old former UFC champion Conor McGregor in a fascinating crossover fight.
But in both exhibitions, he has returned twice, starting with a round of demolition work on 23-year-old featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.
Most recently, in June, the retired icon was vanquished over eight rounds by 26-year-old YouTuber Logan Paul, who weighed TWO STONE more.
But in an effort to crack the lucrative United Arab Emirates market – which is becoming increasingly involved in boxing – Mayweather turned to Belhasa and its brand.
Money Kicks said: “They did it because there are no boxers here. Me, I like to go to markets where people haven’t. Start a trend.
“I was the first YouTuber here to get a million subscribers, yet a new market.
“That’s why Floyd wanted a boxer from here, because I grew up in the Middle East and Asia. Now I can grow up in the world.”
Mayweather, currently back in training again, has a self-proclaimed ‘best ever’ retiring 50-0 unbeaten record-breaking.
Whereas Belhasa, who just turned 20, has only had two fights since starting boxing last year.
They came up against Anas Elshaib and Ajmal Khan on the celebrity banner ‘Social Knockout’ – which he co-owns.
Before boxing, Saif Ahmed, son of billionaire productions, was known for his viral videos and lavish lifestyle.
It includes supercars, celeb meetings, and a private zoo that has seen sports stars, including Mayweather’s visit.
Belhasa admitted to idolizing his next potential in-ring rival, even wearing The Money Team merchandise.
But the social media sensation will put his love for Mayweather aside, at least until after the final bell of his scheduled eight-round exhibition.
Money Kicks said: “Floyd is always the respectable, quiet guy, polite guy, and I always had a TMT merchant with me before I met Floyd.
“I took pictures and always wore his merchant. Always a respectable guy.
“When I met him, he said, ‘You are the man.’ I said, ‘Which man?’ And he said, ‘You are the man, you always support me’.
“I didn’t know he knew me. That was four years ago, five years ago, and he’s always shown love.”
