Boxing legend Mike Tyson has revealed that he once broke up with an ex-girlfriend after cooking and eating one of his pigeons in front of her.
The 55-year-old is known for his love of birds as he looked after them since growing up in New York.

Tyson once recalled how he knocked a man into a bin when he was just ten years old when he threw his pet pigeon into the bin.
And the worst man on the planet has now lifted the lid on how he dumped his former partner after he insisted they should eat one of his pigeons.
Speaking on the US radio show Boomer & Carton in 2013, Tyson was asked if he had ever tasted one of his birds.
To which he said: “I tried. I tried.
“I was dating this young woman and she said, ‘I don’t know why you’re flying those birds, you should eat them.’
“She happened to grab one — and she cooked one and proceeded to eat it. And I just couldn’t do it.”

And in case we needed to know how to cook pigeon, Tyson said her old boyfriend broiled the bird.
Then he added: “It was not right to do that. That’s why she is no longer my lady.”

Tyson once revealed that he fought a bully as a youth when he had his pet beheaded.
He said: “The man beheaded my dove. It was the first thing I loved in my life, the dove.
“It was the first time I hit a punch. I love pigeons when I was nine. They were my escape.”
“I was fat and ugly. Kids used to tease me all the time. The only joy I had was Dove.”
