Mike Tyson is considering never fighting again after his return to boxing, as his boxing return has become ‘financial’ rather than ‘fun’.

The heavyweight legend made a grand comeback in November 2020, more than 15 years after he announced his retirement.

Tyson, 55, participated in an eight-round exhibition with fellow American great Roy Jones Jr., 53, at the Triller pay-per-view, which reportedly sold 1.6 million packages.

But after the commercial success of Iron Mike’s return, he admitted that boxing had become a burden again.

Tyson said Nelk Boys’ Podcast: “I don’t think I [fight] Either but you never know again.

“Every 12 to 13 months, boom, something’s missing. Like, something’s missing. Boom, I’m lacking muscle, boom, it’s always something different.

“Guys want to fight me for $100 million. I don’t think I’ll ever do stuff like that anymore.

“I wanted to do it for the first time, just for fun, for fun. Some people took it to another level and made it financial and the fun went out of it.”

Tyson quickly announced plans to fight again and was rumored to be in talks with old rivals Evander Holyfield, 59, and Lennox Lewis, 56.

YouTuber stars Logan and Jake Paul, 26 and 25 respectively, were also linked with the youngest heavyweight champion ever.

SunSport revealed that there was a verbal agreement between Tyson and Jake for the Las Vegas exhibition.

But when asked about the 5-0 match against the social media sensation, Iron Mike admitted he was dead in the water.

Tyson said: “I’m not interested in doing this stuff.

“If it was the first time it started, yes, and we were both fighting on the same card and both were active, yes, I’d do it but it got worse.

“It didn’t turn out right.”
