And recently, he feuded with the UFC president online, accusing him of underpaying his fighters.

The YouTuber has long called out McGregor – who lost his boxing debut – to Floyd Mayweather.

And Hearn said the Irishman is the biggest fight for Paul, but acknowledged that his rivalry with White could stand in the way of negotiations on a deal.

He said DAZN Boxing: “To me, the fight is Conor McGregor. I keep saying it. I think it’s a good fight to be honest with you.

“You have a difference in weight. Conor McGregor can box. He’s not a boxer, but he has an amateur background.

“He’s a lot more skilled than a Tyrone Woodley or an Escrane and people like that.

“And it’s a big fight. But obviously you’ve got the whole UFC, Dana White – Jake Paul.”

UFC fighters are prohibited from competing outside the octagon, unless specifically permitted.

McGregor, 33, was given to fight Mayweather, 44, in a 2017 crossover bout that White co-promoted.

But her back-and-forth with Paul, 24, makes a deal less likely to be agreed upon.

White also responded to Paul’s allegation that he uses cocaine and agreed to be tested for the recreational drug over a ten-year period.

But in return, he wanted to steroid test the 5-0 award winner for two years, accusing the American celebrity of cheating.

Paul denied ever taking steroids and also agreed to be tested by the United States Anti-Doping – the UFC’s drug testers – to prove it.

Hearn admitted he was stunned that White responded publicly to Paul, which played into the hands of the social media sensation.

The promoter said: “Jake Paul did really well to include Dana White in those conversations.

“I have a lot of respect for Dana White and was quite surprised that she posted a video of her addressing Jake Paul.

“That would have been music to Jake Paul’s ears. Music to his ears, because that’s what he does, he gets you to the point where you start talking back.”

Paul has KO wins over YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, as well as ex-UFC duo Askren, 37, and most recently Woodley, 39.

The former UFC champion was initially beaten by points in August, but was eliminated in December’s rematch.

Woodley only filled in at short notice after 22-year-old Tommy Fury passed out with a broken rib and a chest infection.

That means Paul still has to fight an opponent with prior professional boxing experience, who is technically 0-1 to McGregor.
