And according to his manager Nakisa Bidarian, the former Disney star is looking to test himself against the next WBC middleweight champion Chavez Jr.

He wrote on Instagram: “It just shows you how impressive Jake is that people think this should be his next rival.

“Even more impressive is that Jake messaged @nakisabidarian saying let’s get to this next one.”

Chavez Jr., son of Mexican great Julio Sr., has lost five of his last six fights since losing the 160lb strap to Sergio Martínez in 2012.

The 35-year-old was last in action in June, suffering a split decision loss to former UFC great Anderson Silva.

Paul’s eyes on the confrontation with Chavez Jr. appears to have put an end to talk of a rancor match with Fury.

Social media sensation Paul was supposed to face the youngest Fury brother last weekend, before the former Love Island star returned due to injury and illness.

Team Fury is hopeful to reschedule the fight early next year, although Paul recently claimed he hasn’t heard a ‘f***ing peep’ from them since dismantling Woodley.

On Tuesday, he tweeted: “Just asked my team if we heard from Fury, Frank Warren or Queensberry…,**** Oh peep!

“Fumbles and fake f**ks they are.”

Paul, 24, hinted that he would not give Fury a second of happy moments after his resounding victory, adding: “I really don’t know what’s next on the roadmap.

“I’ve done it all, I’ve accomplished what I want to accomplish.

“I need to take a break, I’ve been going on this non-stop for a year and a half and that’s a lot.

“I’m tired, I need to spend time with my family on Christmas and go on vacation, I haven’t been on vacation since I was 18.

“I told myself ‘until you feel like you’ve found a place in life where you deserve a vacation’ and I deserve it now.

“I’m going on my first real vacation where there’s no obligation, because I’ve been on vacations where I have to film it, vlog it, do interviews and wake up at a certain time to get to work.

“I’m going on a real vacation and doing backflips in the water—I’ll be back whenever I feel like it.”
