The Problem Child was scheduled to face Tommy on December 18.

But Britain was forced to pull out due to a broken rib and a chest infection.

Fury, 22, is still determined to fight Paul.

The American, however, does not think that his opponent ‘deserves a payday’.

He told Volume Sports: “He wants payday.

“But I said earlier, I don’t want to fight him, he doesn’t deserve it. I’ll fight Tyson Fury.

“I’ll fight Tommy before he fights his brother or his father.”

Paul has hinted at making the switch to MMA, recently sharing a short clip of himself practicing leg kicks.

But Fury feels the two have an ‘unfinished business’.

He added: “The fact of the matter is, there is unfinished business here and this fight must happen, because how can he be serious about fighting if he has never fought a boxer before?

“How can he be serious about this? He keeps mentioning the UFC.

“If he wants to fight in the UFC, don’t put on a pair of boxing gloves again and go fight in the UFC. Don’t call yourself a boxer if you’ve never done it.

“Make no mistake, this is the fight I want next and I will always check in with my team every single day to see where we are with this.

“But there comes a time when I have my own career. My goal still hasn’t changed.

“My goal is to be a champion in this sport. And believe it or not, fighting Jake Paul doesn’t give me anything at all. Fighting Jake Paul will never make me a champion in boxing.

“So Jake Paul, yeah, it’s a great fight. It’s a great fight. But it doesn’t really make me achieve my dreams.”
