And the former Disney star – who ruthlessly ousted ex-UFC champion Tyrone Woodley late last year – is looking to shut down his opponents by getting in the ring with Mexican Chavez Jr.

They told Volume Sports: “I love that fight because it silences the critics.

“He was a former world champion and I know I could have beaten him. That challenge excites me and I am disappointed.

“Even when I knocked Woodley out, he was like ‘fighting a real boxer’ and I was like ‘You guys I tried, and he [Tommy Fury] Got out of the fight two weeks ago’.

“I want to fight a real boxer and I’m going, just some,**patience.”

It is reported that there have been preliminary talks between Paul and Chavez Jr., son of boxing great Julio Sr.

And Chavez Jr. – who recently lost to UFC great Anderson Silva – has been urged to retire from the sport if he loses to younger Paul brother.

Former Mexican world champion Johnny Gonzalez recently said: “It’s a good business [what] These are YouTubers who want to face boxers.

“But if Chavez Jr. [fight] Happens, I just hope Julio prepares well because if he loses to Paul, it would be better to retire from boxing.”

The choice of Paul over Chavez Jr. could be bad news as Tommy Fury was forced to withdraw from his December Grudge match due to illness and injury.
