Conor McGregor's coach would 'love' to train Jake Paul but reveals why he'd rather link up with YouTuber's brother Logan

Jake Paul and his brother Logan are welcomed into Conor McGregor’s gym.

The YouTubers, who are now award-winning stars, both had high-end amateur wrestling backgrounds.

But younger brother Jake has emerged as a more successful boxer, currently beating Tyron Woodley 5-0 recently.

He has called McGregor out several times before, but that won’t stop him from going to John Kavanagh’s Straight Blast gym in Dublin.

Kavanaugh told The Mirror: “If Jake walks through the door I’ll tell him to sign up, pay his fees, and sit on the mat.

“He will be very welcome here, I would love to see him come here to train, I hear he has a great energy, he is a great character.”

In Jake’s first three fights, he also defeated YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.

He then defeated former UFC champion Woodley, 39, on points in August and signed on to face 22-year-old Tommy Fury.

But Fury exited with a broken rib and chest infection, meaning Woodley was filled in but ruthlessly knocked out.

Meanwhile, 26-year-old Logan has previously fought thrice, twice against online rival KSI, drawing for the first time in 2018.

But they then turned professional a year later, with 28-year-old KSI, winning by poor split-decision.

Logan only made a comeback this June and did so in an extraordinary showdown against 44-year-old Floyd Mayweather, who weighed two stone less.

Mayweather surprised many when he failed to win by KO.

He will be very welcome here, I would love to come and train him here, I hear he has a great energy, he is a great character.

Logan has switched to MMA several times in the past and has even won accolades for battling with UFC middleweight Paulo Costa, 30.

Kavanaugh said: “I think I’ll probably go a little easier with Logan.

“He seems a little more calm. He’s the one who did some wrestling with Paolo Costa, he looked good.

“I saw that and it was only a few seconds but you can tell he’s got a few moves.

“Then maybe he can come in and if he’s okay we’ll let Brother come along!”
