British icon Joshua is looking to become a three-time heavyweight champion after losing his WBA, WBO and IBF belts to an unbeaten Ukrainian in September.

AJ was enjoying some time on a skiing break in Oregon earlier this month as he rested from boxing.

But the 2012 Olympic gold medalist has now ramped up her preparations, putting herself through the paces with Watford native friend Okoli.

Okoli, 29, shared a video of the couple sweating it out in the Gulf country on Instagram.

Captioning the clip, the 2016 Olympian said: “Anthony Joshua and the boys said they wanted to try @Okoliefit so we went through days of conditioning.

“Solid work with the team in Dubai this morning, we are taking @Okoliefit global.

“Here at @okoliefit we are celebrating the new year together!! As always, you have the power to change your life!!”

Joshua also added a clip of the two to his Instagram story, reminiscent of legendary fictional boxer Rocky walking down the steps leading to the entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

He captioned the footage: “Helping champs get ready to defend their world title.”

Okoli made a sensational first defense of his cruiserweight world title in September with a trademark knockout from Dilan Prasovic.

He doesn’t have confirmation of his next fight.

AJ recently commented that he would take a more ‘mental approach’ to training as he seeks to return to the pinnacle of the heavyweight division.

Speaking at the Under Armour panel, the former British and Commonwealth champion commented: “I am not happy with what happened in my last fight.

“You should be angry when you lose and that’s not acceptable.

“My losses really should be put in my highlight reel, because that’s the stuff that shapes you, it’s always on my mind.

“I don’t take damage well, I constantly fight with the best, and I try to overcome the odds.”
