Amir Khan and Kell Brook have rematch clause in contract with pair finally set to face off in British grudge match

Klay Brook has revealed that if Amir Khan loses on February 19, he has the option of a rematch.

But Brooke, 35, doesn’t think Khan would want to activate that clause in the deal because he would be assaulted during a fight.

Brooke has vowed to start off with a bang and is looking forward to seeing speed and power on display from both boxers.

The Sheffield fighter told Sky Sports: “I believe there is a rematch clause and I’m not sure whether he would want to have that rematch clause, which is what I want to do with him in this fight.

“I think there’s going to be fireworks and as soon as that bell rings, I’m about to go out and I’m coming straight for her.

“He wants to do the same and there’s going to be speed, there’s going to be power and this fight is going to have everything you want to see in a boxing match.

“I know there’s going to be a rematch if Aamir Khan wants it.

“If Khan wants another beat he can do one.”

Just last week, Khan claimed he would retire after his bout with Brooke – regardless of the outcome.

But then 35-year-old Khan signaled a U-turn on that decision after a successful week of struggles with boxers several years his junior.

He’s also training in camp with former rival Terrence Crawford – and the former world champion revealed he feels so good he might do another training camp for a future fight.

It is possible that Floyd Mayweather could be his next opponent.

According to Brooke, the 50-0 fighter wants to fight the winner of his competition.
